Amazing Adaptations
Ngaokeoke/Peripatus are ancient! They have been around since before the dinosaurs. Even though they may look like a caterpillar or a worm with legs, they are so unique that they are actually in their own grouping (phylum).
Their adaptations are pretty fascinating! In particular, as a predator, they can spray an incredibly sticky substance at their prey, which dissolves the prey into a nutrient soup.
To help us understand these clever creatures, we are going to take a closer look at their adaptations- the cool features they have that have helped them survive for such a long time!
