Celebrating Matariki

Keen to celebrate Matariki, but unsure how you could do this?

Matariki is a time for reflection, celebration, spending time with loved ones and sharing in life’s beauty and offerings including nature and kai/food!

If you don’t have any local events to attend, or you haven’t been able to spy the Matariki star cluster in the sky, don’t worry… there are so many ways to celebrate.

We have created an activity sheet that identifies each star within the Matariki star cluster and the values/themes they each represent.

The activity sheet has space for identifying potential ways you might wish to celebrate.

Printable Activity Sheet HERE.

We have then gathered together some of our own ideas for celebration based on each star for further ideas.

Ideas for celebration HERE.

Mānawatia a Matariki!
