Exploring Kura Tawhiti/Castle Hill

Kura Tawhiti is an area of rich cultural, geological, and recreational significance.

It is well known for its beautiful boulder fields and is one of the best bouldering spots in Aotearoa alongside Flock Hill.

We have created a range of resources that complement exploration and adventure at Kura Tawhiti, connecting us deeper to nature through geological scavenger hunts, and recreation.
