Through her designs, Anthea brings concepts such as kaitiakitanga and the circular economy to life, while diverting waste, raising awareness, and supporting conservation of Aotearoa’s unique natural environment.

These info cards were designed to accompany Remix Plastic products, bringing a little more of Aotearoa’s incredible biodiversity into every order. Each card combines engaging species facts with information about the recycled materials used to create the product, helping connect the product in your hands with the wildlife and places we’re working to protect. The designs also highlight Anthea’s stories shared through The Seed Pod. (podcast), turning each order into an opportunity to share a story, spark curiosity and celebrate our unique native species.
Anthea’s Stories
In Episode 31 of The Seed Pod, we kōrero with guest Anthea Ibell about her incredible scuba diving experiences, including her love of sharks and her conservation work overseas with sea turtles and community education.
Anthea is a sustainable business founder and owner of several businesses tackling waste reduction and sustainability. She utilises plastic ‘waste’ to create beautiful products inspired by nature, and finds ways to create sustainable toys. Anthea talks about her experiences in business and some of the challenges she has faced, as well as her experiences of parenting through nature connection.
