Wild Play – Gamifying Environmental Education

  • Climate Action Campus Christchurch 180 Avonside Drive Christchurch, Canterbury, 8061 New Zealand (map)

FREE Professional Development Workshop

Turn learning into adventure with Wild Play, an interactive workshop that explores how games can be powerful tools for environmental education. Through hands-on activities like The Perfect Pest Tracking Activities, Beak Size and Bird Feeding Game, and Ecological Bullrush, we’ll dive into how gamification can enhance engagement, deepen understanding, and inspire action in nature-based learning.

Facilitated by environmental educator Sian Crowley, this workshop blends science, strategy, and play to make conservation concepts come alive. Whether you're teaching in the classroom or outdoors, Wild Play will equip you with practical, ready-to-use activities that spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and foster a lifelong connection to the natural world.
