Science Communication Infographics on Gene Drives for Wasp Control

I'm stoked to share my recent design work for Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington and New Zealand's Biological Heritage! Together, we developed these engaging science communication infographics based on research into novel wasp control methods, in particular gene drives.

As part of my BLAKE Ambassadorship back in 2018, I worked on a large wasp control project (boots on the ground fieldwork) in Nelson Lakes with Department of Conservation. So, this work brought together my personal experiences on the ground, combined with my understanding of gene drives, which I learned about whilst at @vicuniwgtn. I loved having this opportunity to test and build upon my knowledge within this area!

It has been an honour contributing to this work, helping to communicate complex scientific research to the public.
