Ikigai Urban Farm

Introducing Ikigai Urban Farm's new logo 🌿 @ikigai_urban_farm

A little bit about Ikigai Urban Farm:
Founded and run by our friend @kaitlyngrowz @compostgardener14 Ikigai is a 30 square metre space at Rochester & Rutherford Hall at the University of Canterbury. The area was unused and overgrown and was going to be turned into a carpark. After a year’s work, it is now a māra kai vegetable garden, slowly evolving into a food forest. It is also an education hub for students, especially around waste, with the goal of composting all of the food scraps generated from the hall in the garden to feed the food forest.

The kai (food) grown is for the students and staff at the hall to eat. They grow kai using organic methods and have a goal to make organic kai more accessible to the community.

Proud to support both Kai Compost and Ikigai Urban Farm ✨️❤️
