Indoor bug hunts? Say more!

Waimairi School recently visited Climate Action Campus Ōtautahi, and some of those days were very wet! So we brought the invertebrates inside... with dirt, mulch, and leaf litter being investigated very closely 🔎 We found lots of biodiversity together, learning about springtails, centipedes, millipedes, and worms... while we watched excitedly as the beetles made their escape! We made pest playdough creations, built lizard hotels, had a lesson on bird song physics and call identification, and practiced our scientific drawing and observational skills! Fantastic days, well spent connecting to nature!
